There’s plenty of world-class athletes who will take center stage in Switzerland, but there’s five who stand out among the rest for either their past achievements or dominance throughout the 2026 Diamond League circuit.

Audrey Werro

Audrey Werro makes her return to the 2026 Diamond League circuit in front of her home fans in Lausanne.

After winning the Diamond League Final in the 800m in 2025, Werro’s 2026 campaign has been dominant. Three appearances and three first-place finishes for the Swiss Star.

With her home country fans behind her, she’s on the lookout for a standout performance in Lausanne. Her personal best is a 1:53.80 in the 800m. Can she set a new personal best and edge her way towards history?

Rai Benjamin

2024 Olympic gold medalist Rai Benjamin is returning to Diamond League Lausanne to compete in the 400m hurdles for the first time in the 2026 circuit.

With a personal best of 46.17 seconds Benjamin is the only participant on August 21 with a time under 47 or 48 seconds, showing how dominant the American is on the world stage.

The men’s 400m hurdles won’t count towards the Diamond League standings, but you don’t want to miss Rai Benjamin competing in his one and only 400m hurdles race of the season.

Letsile Tebogo

Letsile Tebogo is the No. 1 ranked 200m sprinter in the world for a reason.

A gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games and top two finishes in every 200m race on the Diamond League circuit dating back to 2023 have solidified his spot as one of the sport’s best athletes.

As the first man from Botswana to break the 10-second mark, every time Tebogo hits the track it’s a must-watch event.
