Marathon fans in the United States won't want to miss the action on FloTrack on Aug. 29. 

Passionate runners and track enthusiasts from around the world are flying down under to Sydney, Australia, where they'll be taking part in the world-renowned TCS Sydney Marathon. This will be Sydney’s second year as an Abbot World Marathon Major.

In 2025, with the support of the participating athletes, the Sydney Marathon raised more than $8 million for charity. This year, the marathon is expected to raise more than $11 million.

Thanks to the support of marathon enthusiasts, the city of Sydney is expecting a massive turnout, hoping to improve from their 35,000 marathoners from the 2025 event.

Sydney Marathon Start Time

The Official Seventh World Marathon Major takes off on Aug. 30th, 2026. 

The full length marathon begins at 4:30 pm ET.

This iconic marathon’s map leads its participants down a gorgeous course, showcasing many of Sydney's gems. Athletes will traverse The Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Rocks, Centennial Park, with the finish line at the front steps of Sydney’s Opera House.
