The Diamond League Final is here, and every single event is loaded. The men’s 400m is reminiscent of a world championship final, give or take a few competitors.

The field features reigning world champion Collen Kebinatshipi, reigning Diamond League champion Jacory Patterson, Olympic silver medalist and European champion Matthew Hudson-Smith, world championship silver medalist Jereem Richards, indoor world record holder Khaleb McRae, and and Team USA’s Chris Bailey, an Olympic and world champion as part of the 4x400m relay.

All eyes will be on the reigning world champion, Collen Kebinatshipi. He has looked nearly untouchable this season and has shown he can win in just about every scenario. He has blown fields away, been challenged and responded, and even hunted down competitors late in races.

Now, in the grand finale of the Diamond League season, Kebinatshipi is looking to secure his first Diamond League title before turning his attention to the World Ultimate Championships.

But standing in his way is the reigning Diamond League champion, Jacory Patterson. Patterson knows what it takes to win on this stage, and he will have the opportunity to defend his Diamond League title against one of the strongest 400m fields of the season.

Hudson-Smith brings championship experience and a proven ability to deliver on the biggest stages, while Richards has already shown he can contend with the best in the world. With McRae and a pair of elite American 4x400m relay stars also in the mix, there is no shortage of firepower around the track.

The question now is whether Kebinatshipi can cap his season with another statement victory and claim his first Diamond League title, or whether Patterson, Hudson-Smith, Richards or one of the Americans can spoil the celebration.

With the World Ultimate Championships just around the corner, this is more than just the final race of the Diamond League season. It is another chance for the world's best 400m runners to make a statement before the biggest championship of the year.
