Jakob Ingebrigtsen won the men’s 5000m at the World Ultimate Championships in 12:59.24, edging Cole Hocker and Parker Wolfe in a thrilling finish.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen delivered a thrilling finish in Budapest, winning the men’s 5000m at the World Ultimate Championships in a dramatic final sprint.

The Norwegian powered through the final moments of the race, holding off a charging field to cross the line in 12:59.24 for a season best.

Cole Hocker led a strong American showing, finishing second in 13:00.05, while Parker Wolfe followed just 0.08 seconds later. Nico Young, Grant Fisher and Graham Blanks also finished inside the top seven.

Ingebrigtsen’s victory came after a furious battle down the final stretch, with the top seven separated by just 1.16 seconds at the finish.
