With all of the action at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor T&F Championships to the loaded Grand Prix NY meet, this past weekend truly was one for the ages. From the countless incredible performances that we had in so many different events at NCAA's in Des Moines to the magic of the Dream Mile in New York, we couldn't help but wonder...

What was the most impressive thing from the NCAA Championships and NY Grand Prix?

Was it Lukas Verzbicas of Illinois breaking 4 minutes in the mile (first high schooler to do so in 10 years and 2nd ever to accomplish the feat in an all high school race). Lukas became just the 5th member of the US high school sub-4 club, battling a talented field in less than ideal conditions to break the historic mark. This all coming just one week after setting the new HS American record in the 2-mile (8:29 at the Prefontaine Classic). WATCH RACE

Or maybe you were more impressed by the raw power and strength displayed by the young Ngonidzashe Makusha of Florida State. Makusha came out of nowhere to set a new collegiate record in the 100 in 9.89, one day after jumping 27'6", placing him second in the world in that event. Makusha would add yet another win in the 4x100 on the final day of competition to propel FSU to a (gutwrenching) 2nd-place finish. INTERVIEW

Perhaps it was Kimberlyn Duncan launching herself to the world lead in the 200, while also anchoring LSU to a 4x100 win. Duncan also nearly stole a win in the 100 meter dash (placing second to Oklahoma's Candyce McGrone). Still, it was Duncan's 200 that turned many heads around the world, where she cut .15 off her previous PR and now sits atop the world...as a collegiate sophomoreINTERVIEW

Off the track, Christian Taylor of Florida put on an incredible show in the men's triple jump after a rough going in the long jump. His 58'4" jump (while wind-aided) sets him atop the world right now. His wind-legal jump of 57'1" still places him #3 in the world and #1 in the US. Furthermore, since 2002 only 7 men under any conditions have jumped as far as his 58'4" mark! (only 5 since 2004)

Topping them all could be the consistent dominance the Texas A&M Aggies have shown over the course of the past three years. With their backs against the wall Saturday afternoon at Drake Stadium, the men and women were as clutch as fellow Texan Dirk Nowitzki, winning the 4x400 relay on both sides to narrowly claim both team titles. Both team competitions had all of us on the edges of our seats throughout the final day of the championships, providing for one of the most thrilling team title battles in years.
