FloRatings - Release #4 (Oct 30)
The Release #4 of FloRatings is a bit confusing. Not every runner or team ran all-out this past conference weekend. Since the FloRatings are based on effort, some top individuals scored lower than in previous weeks. This also skewed the overall team rankings a bit, but how much?

Q
uick Takeaways:
  • Teams such as Eastern Kentucky (men), Iona (men), and Weber State (women) took it relatively easy this weekend.
  • Florida State and Duke's team rankings aligns closely to their national ranking. Should Boston College get some love?
  • Oklahoma State killed it at Big 12s, but Colorado isn't far behind. Remember, they ran together to ensure the team title rather than go after the leaders. Then again, OSU took it easy for the first two miles at Big 12s.
  • The Pac-12 women's race is undoubtedly the toughest race in the country. Therefore, the teams that competed in that conference exerted more effort than Iowa State Florida State.
  • Surprisingly, the Oregon Men fell to 15th overall because of the gap between their #2 and #3 runners. That will need to close come Regionals and Nationals.
