Analysis:
There are few coaches around with Coach Rollie Geiger’s experience. Going into his 37th year, he has pretty much seen it all. So losing number one Andrew Colley will hurt, but not devastate the Wolfpack.

For one thing, Graham Crawford is on the cusp of being as good as Colley. Not that he will get Colley’s low number from last year’s NCAA, but his speed is good enough to propel him way beyond his own 9th ACC finish and a subpar 178th at the NCAA. Crawford has run 4 flat in the mile and 13:40 for 5000m on the track. Look for Crawford to break out big time and lead this team to an outstanding season.
NC State got a very good freshman when they reeled in Ian Milder, the North Carolina blue chipper with an outstanding 8:51 3200m to boast about. He was 25th at Footlocker Nationals, but his track efforts seem to indicate he will help the Pack right away.
After that, Sam Roberson, Jacob Thomson, and Michael Mansy are all in that 14:20 5k range. Someone will need to break out of that to make sure that Geiger has a good 37th season of coaching.
Patrick Sheehan, with his 9:03 3200m, will certainly help, but it is the Thomas twins, Aaron and Alec out of Brentwood, TN that could really elevate this team. They are 8:57 and 8:56, respectively, for 3200m and have good cross pedigrees. They add some solid depth to Rollie’s front runners.
