Rita Jeptoo is currently serving a two-year ban.

Athletics Kenya may have to answer for another famous long distance runner’s involvement with banned substances.

Standard Digital, an online news source based out of Kenya, reported Tuesday April 7 that Athletics Kenya has been notified by the IAAF and investigations are under way.

According to Standard Digital, Athletics Kenya would not deny nor confirm the matter.

The latest high-profile Kenyan athlete to fail is Rita Jeptoo, winner of the 2013-2014 World Marathon Majors series. After winning Boston and Chicago in dominating fashion, Jeptoo is currently serving a two-year ban.
