FLO PERFORMANCE

Jordy Williamsz (Villanova)
The Villanova anchor leg displayed one of the greatest kicks of the season after beating Oregon’s Edward Cheserek at his own game in the men’s 4xMile at Penn Relays. In some of the strangest race tactics in Penn history, Williamsz took advantage of the slowed pace to power through the homestretch past the NCAA Champion and bring home the wheel for the Villanova Wildcats. Annie Leblanc (Oregon)
The Oregon senior had one of the most standout performances of the weekend after kicking down Clemson’s NCAA Champion Natoya Goule on the anchor leg of the women’s sprint medley relay. Leblanc came from behind to blaze past Goule on the homestretch and out-lean the Clemson standout to give Oregon the win. WATCH RACE
 
Shelby Houlihan (Arizona State)
Arizona State’s 1500m NCAA Champion mixed it up as the only collegian racing against professionals in the 800m Friday night at Drake Relays. Houlihan had a stellar performance in a stacked field that included Olympic, World and national medalists. She finished sixth overall in a time of 2:02.03, just behind four-time national champion Alysia Montano. WATCH INTERVIEW


FLO HIGH SCHOOL

Andrew Hunter (Loudoun Valley H.S.)
Hunter lived up to the hype Friday after winning the mile at Penn Relays in 4:07.15 and closing in 1:58 to take down Mikey Brannigan and Diego Zarate. Hunter is now the second prep after Olympian Matt Centrowitz to win both individual distances at Penn Relays. WATCH RACE
 
Alex Ostberg (Darien H.S.)
The Stanford commit took down a stacked field in the 3k at Penn Relays for a U.S. #1 8:23.95, ahead of Aidan Tooker (U.S. #2 8:27.34) and Jake Brophy (U.S. #3 8:29.12). WATCH RACE
 
Kate Murphy (Lake Braddock H.S.) and Libby Davidson (EC Glass H.S.)
The two sophomores from Virginia shocked the crowd at Franklin Field after beating Canadian favorites Shona McCulloch and Branna MacDougall. Murphy took the win in a U.S. #1 9:32.82 and Davidson followed in a U.S. #3 9:34.12. WATCH RACE

 
FLO ELITE

Lelisa Desisa (Nike) and Caroline Rotich (Mizuno)
2013 Boston Marathon Champion Lelisa Desisa came back to repeat on Boylston Street after taking down the rest of the field in a winning time of 2:09:17. Rotich won the women’s race in one of the most exciting kicks to the finish in Boston Marathon history. Rotich took down Mare Dibaba for the win in a time of 2:24:55. Both runners won $150,000 in prize money. WATCH INTERVIEW
 
Desi Linden (Brooks) and Dathan Ritzenhein (Nike)
The two American runners each had outstanding performances on the streets of Boston after leading for a good portion of the 26.2-mile race. Linden ended up finishing fourth overall and Ritzenhein closed for seventh-place in the field, but each had very brave performances. WATCH INTERVIEW
 
Aleec Harris (adidas)
The former USC standout had one of the greatest performances of the weekend after running a world lead in the 110m hurdles at Drake Relays. His winning time of 13.16 took down Olympic medalists and World Championship finalists David Oliver, Andrew Riley, Aries Merritt and many other top competitors. WATCH INTERVIEW



FLO FROSH

Ariel Jones (Texas)
Ariel Jones of Texas had a huge performance on the final day of Penn Relays by stepping in to contribute to her team’s 4x400m victory in an overall winning time of 3:29. The Longhorns repeated as champions to give Texas its 12th title all-time in the event at Penn Relays. WATCH RACE
 
Maggie Ewen (Arizona State)
The Arizona State freshman made waves this weekend in the discus at the Triton Invitational after throwing 55.20m. The mark is good for No. 12 on the national list and was a huge personal best for the Sun Devil. 
 
Xavier Smith (Penn State)
The Penn State rookie helped the Nittany Lions to victory in the men’s sprint medley relay at Penn Relays. Smith led off the race with the first 200m leg and set the team up for victory heading into the next three legs, ultimately contributing to the victory and Penn Relays wheel for the Nittany Lions.
