Amy (Hastings) Cragg has switched sponsorships from Brooks to Nike and will join the Bowerman Track Club, she announced via Instagram today.
Cragg is currently focusing on the 2016 U.S. Marathon Olympic Trials and brings her 2:27:03 best to the group. She has been training with Bowerman Track Club member Shalane Flanagan for a few months now. The two competed in the Rock 'N' Rock San Antonio Half Marathon in December and finished third and fourth, virtually crossing the finish line together, in 1:12:42.
"Amy and I have the same exact goal, which is to be top three on February 13th," Flanagan said before the race in San Antonio. "So it kind of makes it easy. We have the same objection, we're going to be living the same lifestyle. You know the other women are all focused on the track, as they should be."
Cragg finished fourth in the 2012 Marathon Olympic Trials behind Flanagan, Desiree Linden and Kara Goucher. She then went on to compete in the track trials later in Eugene and represented the U.S. in London in the 10K. She finished 11th in a personal best time of 31:10.
