In an unfortunate turn of events, fourth-place Olympic Marathon Trials finisher Luke Puskedra’s daughter Penelope was recently diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that is commonly found in the adrenal glands.

Luke’s wife Trudie Puskedra gave birth to their seven-month-old daughter last July. On Wednesday, a Go Fund Me page was created by family friend Dana Trucker Reber with the hope of raising money for medical expenses and treatment. According to the page, Penelope is currently undergoing multiple tests, including surgery for a biopsy, and has spent several days in the hospital.

As of Wednesday 1:00 p.m. CT, $2,050 has been raised to help support treatment, a fraction of the $25,000 goal amount. If you would like to make a donation, please visit the fundraiser page here.
