We developed a formula to rank the top 25 athletes in NCAA Division I track and field based on who will make the most impact at the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.
This week's men's rankings show the rise of Texas' Zack Bilderback (9th) and TCU's Ronnie Baker (4th) after their dominating performances at the Big 12 Championship. Also, looking at the upcoming team battle, FloTrack's #1-ranked team Oregon has three top 25 athletes with Cheserek (1st), Haney (19th), and newly-ranked Greg Skipper (25th). Teams fighting to dethrone Oregon also have athletes in the top 25. #2 Florida, #3 Texas A&M, #4 Tennessee, and #5 Texas all have athletes in this week's power rankings.
On the women's side, Kendell Williams is back in the #1 slot after officially declaring for three NCAAs events compared to Akela Jones opting to just compete in two events. Also, Notre Dame's Molly Seidel makes her power rankings debut (7th) after her impressive 15:19 5k win at the ACC Championships.
