UPDATE 9:05PM CT: According to The Washington Post, the Lyles brothers have signed an eight year deal with adidas. adidas, who recently signed fellow Virginian high schooler Drew Hunter, has agreed to pay for the brothers' education and provide a chaperone at events until they turn 21. Noah is 19, while Josephus turned 18 today.

"I told them that I would be more comfortable if they did it the traditional way, going to school on a track scholarship but promised them I would research what was available," their mother Keisha Caine told Rick Maese. "We researched and had countless meetings. And now they get to do what they love to do, earn an income and still go to school."

Where the brothers will attend school and train has not yet been disclosed.

The sprint duo of Noah and Josephus Lyles announced they are turning pro. The Lyles brothers both posted the following messages on their Twitter accounts just days after Noah told MileSplit that if he and Josephus turn pro it would need to be a package deal.

In a message with MileSplit, Noah confirmed that the details will be coming soon. The announcement comes just two days after Noah won gold in the 100m at the IAAF World U20 Championships. Today, July 22nd, also happens to be Josephus' birthday.

Another high schooler to recently turn pro, Drew Hunter, has already sent his congratulations to the Lyles brothers.
