Genzebe Dibaba Out Of 5K At Worlds Due To Illness
Genzebe Dibaba was forced to withdraw from the 5000m at Worlds due to illness.
The 1500m world record holder in Genzebe Dibaba will not be contesting the 5000m at the IAAF World Championships in London.
According to DireTube.com, Dibaba was 'forced' to withdraw from her heat due to illness. It is not yet know whether this 'illness' is the same norovirus that has affected multiple athletes at this year's World Championships, including 200m medal favorite Isaac Makwala.
Despite Dibaba's multiple world records, she finished last in the 1500m final three days ago.
