USATF announced Friday that Atlanta, Georgia; Austin, Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Orlando, Florida, have all entered bids to host the 2020 Olympic Trials Marathon.

“To have four new bidders for the Olympic Trials Marathon speaks to the attractiveness of the property and the support for our increasingly successful American marathon corps,” USATF CEO Max Siegel said in a press release

None of the four cities have hosted the Olympic Trials before. The men’s and women’s races will take place on the same day in the beginning of the year, mirroring the process from 2016 and 2012. Previous editions of the race often took place in the year prior to the Olympics and split up the men’s and women’s races between different locations.

Los Angeles hosted the Trials in the 2016 and Houston staged the race in 2012. Mt. SAC in Walnut, California, has already been named the host for the 2020 Olympic Track and Field Trials.

Final bids are due on March 19 with a decision on the ultimate host coming later in the spring.
