This past Saturday in track and field brought records by the droves, from meets in Poland and France to the Armory in New York City and beyond. Mondo Duplantis’ pole vault world record clearly stood out, but the Millrose Games did its best to equal the excitement with a slew of national marks.

NCAA Cancels DI Cross Country Championships This Fall

The 2020 DI NCAA XC Championships, which were to be held this November in Stillwater, OK have officially been canceled by the NCAA. NCAA President Mark Emmert announced the cancellation was due to a majority (over 50%) of institutions canceling their fall seasons.

London Marathon To Go Forward As Elite-Only Race On October 4

Organizers of the postponed 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon announced today that the gala 40th edition their event would proceed as an elite-only race on a closed course within St. James's Park in Central London on Sunday, October 4.  Organizers said that they would create a "secure biosphere," a contained COVID-safe environment, which would allow the race to be run on a small circuit, at least for top athletes.  Citizen runners will only be able to participate remotely, running on their own.
