The DeSoto team is one of the best combined high school boys & girls sprint track programs in the entire country. Their girls have already made the US all-time list in the 2016 outdoor track season, while the boys rank as the #7 4x100m team of all-time with their 40.09 in 2012.

After a series of unfortunate injuries and setbacks, the last time either DeSoto team, one of the best combined high school boys & girls sprint track programs in the entire country, has won a Texas team State Championship was 2013 (Girls) and 2012 (Boys).
They're back for redemption in 2016 to attempt to pull off the unprecedented sweep of the Texas state meet in the strongest sprint state in the nation.
