WOW with The Woodlands

Mar 17, 2010

Our first Floski WOW is up and ready to roll for this outdoor track season. Floski J travels to The Woodlands High School for one of the squad's first track sessions of the season.

The Woodlands distance program has been one of most successful programs in the nation ever since the 1980s when, then Coach Dan Green, first established the program. Now his son Juris Green runs the program but the "Tradition", first created by the elder Green, is still present to this day. The Woodlands' boys cross country team recently had their best finish at the 2009 NXN Championship, where they finished third. Now they are looking to carry this success over to the track. In this workout, they lace up their spikes and hit the track for one of the first times this season in preparation for the outdoor track campaign.

Workout:
2mile warm-up
8x400 w/100m (30sec) recovery jog
4-6 mile cooldown

Song 2 Hurricane Bells "Monsters"
