After Mary Keitany's blazing pace from the start of the race and reaching the half marathon in 1:07:56, Firehiwot Dado and Buzunesh Deba trailed late in the race. They were able to come back on Mary Keitany to go 1-2 in the race with Dabo winning the 2011 ING New York City Marathon by only four seconds!
