What Does Training Look Like For A Banned U.S. Record Holder? | Shelby Houlihan Runs 12x600m
We caught up with American 1500m record holder Shelby Houlihan earlier this winter while on a trip to Portland, Oregon. While we were with Shelby, she was a month away from the end of a four-year ban from the sport of track and field. Her ban ended on January 13th, 2025. Houlihan ran a solo workout of 12x600m followed by 2x(800m, 200m jog in 1min, 400m, 100m jog in 30sec, 400m) with 4 minutes between sets.
