Check out the standout athletes that are rewriting the NCAA record books this year.
Decathlon - Lindon Victor (Texas A&M)
Lindon Victor broke Trey Hardee's 11-year-old record at the Texas Relays in March with a point total of 8,472. He recently improved upon his score at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a total of 8,539 points.
Women's Outdoor 800m - Raevyn Rogers (Oregon)
The four-time NCAA champion broke Suzy Favor-Hamilton's 27-year-old record at the Mt. SAC Relays with a winning time of 1:59.10.
Women's Outdoor 4x100m Relay - Tie between Oregon and LSU
The Oregon team of Makenzie Dunmore, Deajah Stevens, Hannah Cunliffe, and Ariana Washington broke the record first at the Mt. SAC Relays where the Ducks ran 42.12. Two weeks later, the LSU team of Mikiah Brisco, Kortnei Johnson, Jada Martin, and Aleia Hobbs equaled the time at the SEC Relays.
Men's Indoor 60m - Christian Coleman (Tennessee)
Christian Coleman unleashed a stunning 6.45 to win the 60m at the NCAA Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas. The performance tied BYU's Leonard Myles-Mills' collegiate record set at the 1999 WAC Indoor Championships.
Men's Indoor Mile/1500m - Edward Cheserek (Oregon)
The most decorated NCAA athlete in history notched his name in the record books with a blazing 3:52.01 mile at the Boston University Last Chance meet. On his way to the finish line, he also broke the indoor 1500m collegiate best with a time of 3:37.01.
Men's Indoor 4x400m Relay - Texas A&M
The stacked team of Fred Kerley (44.96), Richard Rose (46.01), Devin Dixon (46.25), and Mylik Kerley (45.31) ran a combined time of 3:02.52 in January at the Razorback Team Invitational. The Aggies went on to win the NCAA indoor title on their home track.
Men's Indoor 600m - Isaiah Harris (Penn State)
At the Penn State National meet in January, Isaiah Harris blasted a collegiate record of 1:14.96, which also broke the former world record in the event. Harris finished right behind former Penn State All-American Cas Loxsom, who broke the world record with a time of 1:14.91.
Women's Indoor 60m - Hannah Cunliffe (Oregon)
At the Don Kirby Collegiate Elite meet in Albuquerque, NM, Hannah Cunliffe blasted a collegiate record of 7.07 in the 60m sprint at altitude. She went on to claim the NCAA indoor title in the 60m.
Women's Indoor 800m - Jazmine Fray (Texas A&M)
Jazmine Fray enjoyed a massive breakthrough at the Tiger Paw Invitational when she snapped the indoor collegiate record in the 800m. She ran 2:00.69, which broke Nicole Cook's record that had stood since 2005. In the same meet, Fray returned to split 51 seconds on the 4x400m relay.
Women's Indoor 4x400m - USC
The USC team of Cameron Pettigrew (52.75), Amalie Iuel (51.65), Deanna Hill (51.46), and Kendall Ellis (51.18) threw down a record time of 3:27.03 to win the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Women's Indoor Distance Medley Relay - Oregon
The team of Lilli Burdon (3:20.56), Ashante Horsley (53.77) Raevyn Rogers (2:03.53), and Katie Rainsberger (4:30.93) made history with a record run of 10:48.77 at the Columbia East-West Challenge. The performance was two seconds faster than the previous collegiate record of 10:50.98 set by Tennessee in 2009.
Women's Indoor Triple Jump - Keturah Orji (Georgia)
The Olympic finalist leapt another NCAA record at the SEC Indoor Championships. Orji jumped 14.32m to break her own collegiate record and win the SEC indoor title.
Women's Indoor Shot Put - Raven Saunders (Ole Miss)
Fellow Olympic finalist Raven Saunders lowered her own collegiate record with a toss of 19.56m to win the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Women's Indoor 500m - Sage Watson (Arizona)
The Arizona All-American and Canadian Olympian unleashed a 1:08.40 winning time at the Armory Track Invitational. Watson went on to finish third in the 400m final at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Women's Indoor 1000m - Kaela Edwards (Oklahoma State)
The NCAA indoor mile champion began the indoor season with a collegiate record. Edwards blasted a winning time of 2:40.79 in the 1000m at Nebraska in January.
