The women’s division semifinal and final events begin on Day 2 of NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Michael A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas. 

While the women get started on Thursday, the male collegiate athletes had an impressive performance on Day 1 of the meet.

NCAA Track And Field Championships 2023 Enters Delay

The 2023 NCAA Track and Field Championships entered a weather delay on Day 2 of the meet as thunderstorms entered the Central Texas area.

Weather forecasts in the Austin area, where the meet is taking place on the campus of the University of Texas, included thunderstorms and possible hail.


NCAA Track and Field Championships Day 1 Recap

Kenneth Ikeji broke his own personal record on the men's hammer throw and set a Michael A. Myers Stadium record. Meanwhile, as predicted, LSU dominated the 4x100m race. Running a time of 38.06. The team achieved the fastest ever pace for NCAA Track and Field Championships.

This momentum is expected to continue as the women’s division compete on Day 2 in the semifinals and final track and field events.

The NCAA Track and Field Championship Schedule 2023

The NCAA DI Track and Field Outdoor Championship is a four day event from June 7-10. The men's and women's division will compete every day in semi-final, final and decathlon events.
