Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is slated to race the 100m at the Doha Diamond League Meeting on Friday May 16.

Earlier this year, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce announced that the 2025 track and field season would be her final as a professional. Her final Diamond League season is set to open with the 100m dash at the Doha Diamond League Meeting on Friday, May 16.

Fraser-Pryce has already opened her season in stride. At the Velocity Fest #17 meet in Kingston, she ran the top time -- a 10.94 (+3.1).

U.S. Audience will be able to watch Shelly-Ann and the Doha Diamond League Meeting LIVE on FloTrack on Friday, May 16.

Entering her final year as a pro, Fraser-Pryce is already one of the most decorated sprinter in the sport's history. Now 38, Pryce won the the 2008 Olympic 100m title in Beijing before defending her title in London 2012.

She has a record five global 100m titles.

Her personal best of 10.60 from the Lausanne 2021 Diamond League Meeting is the third fastest mark all-time.

In 2024, she finished third at the Jamaican National Championships and qualified for the Olympic Games. She advanced to the semi-finals but had to unfortunately withdraw due to an injury sustained during warm-ups.

On May 16, she'll head back to Doha for the first time since 2021.

"Doha holds a special place in my heart, and I'm truly excited to return for this year's Diamond League," said Fraser-Pryce in a provided statement. 

"From the start of my career I've understood the power of the platform that track and field provides. I've been blessed to compete at the highest level for many years, and with that comes a responsibility to lead, inspire and uplift the next generation, especially young girls who dream of becoming athletes, mothers and business leaders. That legacy continues to drive me."
