Sound Running Track Fest could be one of the most fun events of the year. Each race is loaded with talent - but four races in-particular have caught our eye. Read on for more, but if you'd like to watch, make sure you tune in to FloTrack for a full stream of the action on Saturday, May 24.

Watch Out For Shelby Houlihan Versus The 1500m Field - 11:10 PM ET

This could be one for the record books.

Shelby Houlihan will face a loaded field in the women's 1500m. Since returning from her four-year ban, Houlihan has been on a tear that has included a 3000m silver medal at the World Indoor Championships.

The 1500m field at Track Fest is loaded with three women seeded under 4:00 including Klaudia Kazimierska, Katie Snowden and Emily Mackay.

Houlihan still holds the American Record of 3:54.99, but she should receive some pressure from Mackay and company. Last year, Mackay ran 3:55.90 for second at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Kazimierska also qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. In one of the most talented fields in Olympic history, Kazimierska finished 10th overall.

Heather MacLean To Race First 5000m Of Pro Career - 11:30 PM ET

From what I can tell, it has been over seven years since Heather MacLean has ran a race as long as a 5K.

In fact, she has never raced a 5,000m on the track and her last race over that distance was at the 2017 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships where she placed 26th over the 6,000m distance while representing UMass Amherst.

On Saturday night she'll take the track in the top section of the 5,000m at Track Fest and she'll go up against some of the best distance runners in the world.

Take Lauren Ryan for example, representing Australia, she finished 13th at the Paris Olympic Games in the 10,000m. She is seeded at 14:57.

The field includes the likes of Vanessa Fraser, Linden Hall, Melissa Courtney-Bryant and Laure Galvan. The pace should have no issues running well below 15-minutes and so this could be the perfect race for Heather MacLean to cut her teeth.

Justyn Knight To Make His 5000m Return At Track Fest - 10:40 PM ET

**Note - As of Saturday, May 24 - Justyn Knight has scratched out of Track Fest

Admittedly, I'm a sucker for a good redemption story.

Justyn Knight will make his return to the 5,000m distance for the first time since the 2021 Tokyo Olympics where he finished seventh.

He suffered a devastating achilles injury, but is this the start of his comeback? Read the full story about Justyn Knight HERE.

He'll race in the second section of the men's 5000m at 10:40 PM ET.

The Men's Steeplechase Is STAR STUDDED - 12:25 AM ET

The men's 3000m steeplechase is shaping up to look like a USATF Final, and that's because it kind of is.

12 of the 13 men in this race competed at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials, and seven of them made the final.

Kenneth Rooks won the U.S. Olympic Trials before collecting a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Then there is Duncan Hamilton who was sixth at the trials, Joey Berriatua who was seventh, Anthony Rotich (8th), Bernard Keter (9th), Derek Johnson (10th) and Alec Basten (14th).

Rooks has the fastest career time entering Saturday's meet with his 8:06.41.
