Diamond League Rome 2025: Here's Who Won

The 2025 Wanda Diamond League was back in action, and the world’s top track and field athletes were in Rome for the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea – Presented by IP/Diamond League Rome 2025.

The first four events of the season provided plenty of memorable performances, and there was no reason to expect anything less this week in Italy.

Competition took place throughout the day at the famed Stadio Olimpico (Olympic Stadium) in Rome, with seven men’s events and seven women’s events counting toward this year’s Diamond League standings. All of the action was broadcast live on FloTrack.

You’ve come to the right place to see how your favorite athletes have done at the prestigious event. Below, are the results for the 14 events that count for Diamond League points.

The Diamond League Rome 2025/Golden Gala Pietro Mennea was the 45th edition of the event. It was renamed in 2013 in honor of Italian sprinter Pietro Mennea, who died just before the meet was held that year.

The event was the fifth meet on the 15-event 2025 Diamond League calendar, which will end with the season’s top performers heading to Zurich for two days of top-tier competition (Aug. 27-28).

This year’s Diamond League action kicked off April 26 with a pair of events in China (April 26 and May 3), before moving on to Qatar (May 16) and Morocco (May 25).

The entry list for the Rome event featured 11 Olympic champions and more than 60 overall medalists from the Olympics and World Athletics Championships will converge on the Olympic Stadium (Stadio Olimpico) in Rome.

Among the stars in Rome were Olympic high jump champion (Tokyo 2020) Gianmarco Tamberi of Italy, long-distance runner Beatrice Chebet (Kenya), long jumper Miltiadis Tentoglou (Greece), discus thrower Valarie Allman (United States), track star Quincy Hall (United States), triple jumper Thea LaFond (Dominica) and many more.

About The Diamond League

The invitation-only Diamond League brings together the most elite track & field athletes to showcase their skills, earn prize money, collect points toward the season-ending championship event and ultimately elevate the status of athletics across the globe.

Traditionally, Diamond League competition includes a slate of 16 disciplines, though not every meet features all of them.

Points accumulated during the first 14 events of the season determine the athletes who advance to the final event, where they compete for more prize money and Diamond League titles.

The 2025 season marks FloTrack’s first year as the streaming home of the Diamond League for audiences in the United States and its territories (with the exception of any events being held in the United States).
