The Olympic 100mH Champ will continue her busy 2025 season with a showdown in Lausanne against some of the best hurdlers in the world. Russell, who is currently 13th in the Wanda Diamond League standings, will race Ditaji Kambundji (SUI), Tobi Amusan (NGR), Ackera Nugent (JAM) and Nadine Visser (NED) in an international battle on August 20.

US Audiences can watch that high intensity showdown LIVE on FloTrack.

The 100m hurdle race in Lausanne carries the Diamond League + label, which means the prize payout is doubled. The winner will walk away with a paycheck of $20,000 - so it's no surprise to see some of the best hurdlers in the world emerge.

Russell hasn't shown any signs of the Olympics "Hangover". In-fact, she has been even better since winning her Olympic Gold Medal in Paris. At the Grand Slam Track meeting in Miami, Russell set an American Record in the 100mH with her 12.17 (+2.0) run. That time was the second fastest in world history, only behind Tobi Amusan's World Record of 12.12.

Russell then finished fourth at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene and fourth at the Diamond League Meeting in Monaco. She'll look to right the ship in Lausanne with a big win.

Ackera Nugent and Tobi Amusan both beat Russell at Pre, while Kambundji and Visser defeated Russell in Monaco. However Russell is certainly in a different training block compared to those women, with the US Championships looming.

You can't count out any of the other women mentioned. The 100mH is the most contentious event in the world, and each women has run 12.49 or faster this year. Russell still holds the World Leading mark with her 12.17, but Amusan ran 12.24 for second in Paris. Impressively, Kambundji ran 12.43 into a -1.1 headwind in Monaco, while Nugent sports a season best of 12.30 and Visser has run 12.49.
