Mondo Breaks Pole Vault World Record for 13th Time at Hungarian Grand Prix

Armand “Mondo” Duplantis keeps raising the bar, literally, breaking his own world record for the 13th time at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting – Istvan Gyulai Memorial – on Tuesday, August 12.

The Swedish pole vault star cleared 6.29 meters, surpassing his own mark by one centimeter from the Stockholm Diamond League in June. The jump further cements Duplantis’ dominance in the event, as he has now broken the world record multiple times in both indoor and outdoor competitions since first claiming it in 2020.

Next, Duplantis will compete at the upcoming Diamond League in Silesia, where—conditions permitting—fans may witness another historic jump. He’ll face a stacked field featuring the athletes ranked second through seventh in the world.

You can catch all the action live on FloTrack.
