Harry Styles accomplished a major milestone, running an under-three hour marathon in Berlin over the weekend—and he used an alias. Here's the full story.

Kenya's Sabastian Sawe may have won the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 21, but the world's eyes have been on another runner further back in the pack.

Former One Direction star and current pop sensation Harry Styles completed the 2025 Berlin Marathon a total time of 2:59:13, meeting a major milestone for long distance runners: a marathon in under three hours.

Local newspaper Der Tagesspiegel was the first to report his participation amongst the more than 50,000 runners on what is considered to be one of the fastest, and flattest, marathon courses in the world.

The 31-year-old English singer and songwriter used the pseudonym Sted Sarandos and incognito with a grey headband and sunglasses on.

The pseudonym is markedly close to Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos.

Running with race number 31261, Styles improved on his time from the Tokyo Marathon by just under 25 minutes to get under the 3-hour mark. He ran the Tokyo Marathon in March in 3:24:07. Where will he run next?
