How To Track Runners At The 2025 Chicago Marathon: Use The App
Here's how to track the runners competing in the 2025 Chicago Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 12.
The 2025 Chicago Marathon is scheduled for October 12 and each year features more than 50,000 runners including many elite runners ranked on the world stage competing through the neighborhoods of the Windy City.
Competitors and spectators converge upon Chicago, Illinois for a weekend that could include conditions from breezy and cold to hot and humid from not only all over the United States, but the entire world.
More than 120 years old, the Chicago Marathon's current track is much different than it was when it was first run with just twelve athletes.
Now, the current 26-mile course is a loop that is bookended by Grant Park. The path winds through many of the city's neighborhoods and rounds famous landmarks like Wrigley Field, United Center and Rate Field before finishing near Soldier Field.

There will be a lot happening in Chicago during the week of the 2025 Chicago Marathon, and with the help of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon App, Powered by Tata Consultancy Services, participants and fans can stay in the know.
Through the app, everyone can track athletes, check out the profiles of the professional athletes, watch the race stream, check in on the weather, see the course map, donate to charities and more.
The app is available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
How To Watch The Chicago Marathon 2025 In The United State

In the United States, the race will be broadcast local on NBC 5 Chicago or nbcchicago.com, Telemundo Chicago or telemundochicago.com, while a variety of other global partners will bring the action to all corners of the world.

- Marathon Wheelchair Start (women): 7:21 a.m.
- Marathon Handcycle Start: 7:23 a.m.
- Marathon Wave 1 Start: 7:30 a.m.
- Marathon Wave 2 Start: 8 a.m.
- Marathon Wave 3 Start: 8:35 a.m.
- Spectator access to Grant Park begins: 9:30 a.m.
