A stacked field of 100m entrants for the Xiamen Diamond League Meeting on May 23, 2026 have been announced by meeting organizers on Wednesday morning.

The entrants feature five finalists from the 2025 World Outdoor Track and Field Championships, including silver medalist Kishane Thompson, Kenny Bednarek, Gift Leotlela, Akani Simbine and Letsile Tebogo. The field also adds Americans Christian Coleman and Trayvon Bromell to the field.

Tebogo won the 200m Gold at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. He finished fourth in the 200m at the 2025 World Championships and was DQ'ed in the men's 100m.

Thompson earned silver over 100m in Paris, and then again, earned silver in Tokyo at the 2025 World Championships after finishing second to Kishane Thompson. 

Kenny Bednarek is a four-time global medalist over the 200m distance but he hasn't been able to break through over 100m on the global stage. Notably, last year he won the US Championship in a personal best 9.79. He is the sixth fastest performer (tie) in US History.

Don't overlook South Africa's Gift Leotlela. He finished fifth at the 2025 World Championships and ran a personal best 9.87 for that finish. 

The field also features China's Deng Xinrui and Wang Shengjie. They have bests of 10.06 and 10.14, respectively.
