Seventeen-year-old Cooper Lutkenhaus is headed to his first world final after an impressive run in the 800m semifinals at the 2026 World Indoor Championships in Poland. Lutkenhaus won his heat in 1:44.29, taking control late to secure his spot in the final.

On Saturday morning, medals were awarded in the men’s high jump and the mixed 4x400m relay. Oleh Doroshchuk of Ukraine won the high jump with a clearance of 2.30m, while Belgium took gold in the mixed 4x400m relay in 3:15.60, ahead of Spain and Poland.
