Some of the world’s top sprinters are heading to Xiamen for the second Diamond League meeting of the 2026 season, and the spotlight again lands on the women’s 200m.
Last weekend in Shanghai, Shericka Jackson opened her season with a commanding 22.07 victory over Shaunae Miller-Uibo, Sha’Carri Richardson and Amy Hunt in one of the deepest sprint races of the year. The same core field returns seven days later for an immediate rematch, giving the event a rare early-season sequel between several of the world’s biggest sprint stars.

The men’s 400m hurdles also arrives with major momentum after Alison dos Santos defeated Karsten Warholm in the 300m hurdles in Shanghai. Dos Santos ran a world-leading 33.01, the second-fastest time ever, and now meets Warholm again in the Norwegian’s signature event. The race also includes Trevor Bassitt, Kyron McMaster and Abderrahman Samba in one of the strongest hurdle fields assembled this season.
The Xiamen schedule again features a loaded men’s 100m with Christian Coleman, Letsile Tebogo, Akani Simbine, Ferdinand Omanyala, Trayvon Bromell and Kenny Bednarek all expected on the line. The women’s 1500m also returns with Birke Haylom carrying the world lead after her meet-record performance in Shanghai, while Jessica Hull looks to bounce back after finishing sixth last weekend.
Xiamen also adds several events not featured in Shanghai, including the women’s high jump and women’s javelin. Olympic champion Haruka Kitaguchi headlines the javelin field, while Eleanor Patterson and Morgan Lake lead the high jump. The women’s 100m hurdles, men’s 110m hurdles and men’s long jump round out another packed Diamond League schedule.
Here's the complete schedule for Diamond League Xiamen.
