Anna Cockrell delivered a statement performance at the 2026 Zurich Diamond League, powering to victory in the women’s 400m hurdles in 52.13.

The American not only took the win but also set a new meeting record with her impressive run. Her time was also fast enough to move her to the top of the world list, adding another major mark to an already standout season.

Dalilah Muhammad finished second in 53.16, while Rushell Clayton rounded out the podium in 53.17. Fatoumata Binta Diallo added a national record for Portugal in fourth with 53.30.

With more events still to come in Zurich, the stage is set for more standout performances. Cockrell has already raised the bar, but there are plenty of opportunities for more records to fall before the meet comes to a close.
