The 2026 Diamond League Final takes place in Brussels from Sept. 4-5, with 32 Diamond League champions set to be crowned.

Can Anyone Stop Mondo From Adding Another Diamond Trophy?
Mondo Duplantis is heading to Brussels looking to claim his sixth consecutive Diamond Trophy, but he has plenty of competition in the men’s pole vault. Duplantis currently leads the standings with 38 points, followed closely by Kurtis Marschall with 37 and Emmanouil Karalis with 31. Sam Kendricks also enters the final as one of the event’s top names. With the Diamond Trophy on the line, the pole vault could be one of the most exciting events of the Brussels final.
Two New World Record Holders Are Coming To Brussels
Alison dos Santos and Masai Russell are heading to Brussels with plenty of momentum after setting world records in Zurich. Russell has been dominant on the Diamond League circuit, collecting six wins in the women’s 100m hurdles, while dos Santos enters the final second in the 400m hurdles standings. After his record-breaking 45.80 in Zurich, dos Santos will have a big opportunity to finish his Diamond League campaign with another win and potentially claim the Diamond Trophy. Russell will also look to turn her six Diamond League victories and new world record into her first Diamond League title.
The Women’s 3000m Steeplechase Is Loaded
The women’s 3000m steeplechase could be one of the most exciting events of the Brussels Final, with Faith Cherotich, Winfred Yavi and Peruth Chemutai all set to compete. Cherotich is the reigning Diamond League champion, while Yavi is the Olympic champion and Chemutai is the 2021 Olympic champion. With three of the world’s best steeplechasers lining up in Brussels, fans could be in for another memorable battle for the Diamond Trophy.
A Win In Brussels Can Punch Your Ticket To Budapest
The stakes in Brussels go beyond the Diamond Trophy. A victory in the Diamond League Final can secure an athlete an automatic invitation to the 2026 World Athletics Ultimate Championship, which takes place Sept. 11-13 in Budapest, Hungary. That means athletes will have another major opportunity on the horizon just one week after the Diamond League Final, giving them even more reason to finish the season on top.
