The Diamond League 2026 season has delivered record-breaking performances, dramatic finishes and unforgettable moments, and Day 1 of the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels was no different.

The opening day saw some of the world’s biggest track and field stars battle for the coveted Diamond Trophy, with champions crowned across a packed schedule of events.

From Emmanuel Wanyonyi completing his four-peat in the men’s 800m to record-breaking performances throughout the day, Brussels delivered plenty of memorable moments on the first day of the final.
