Sanya Richards-Ross Not Making Team USA
Sanya Richards-RossÂ’ failure to make Team USA in the 400m was a upset not many people saw coming. Sanya, the queen of the U.S. quarter mile and reigning Olympic Gold Medalist, failed to make the final of the 2015 USATF Championships. Since 2003, Richards-Ross had made every U.S. team, except for 2013 when she was dealing with in injury. After surgery and a strong rehabilitation stint, Richards-Ross was showing signs that she was back to her regular form with sub 50-second performances in the 400m and impressive showings at the IAAF World Relays. SanyaÂ’s fifth-place finish in the semi-finals in Eugene turned heads and was the biggest upset of the 2015 championships.
