Owen Powell Runs High School National Record! Men's Mile BU
Owen Powell Runs HS National Mile record, running an outrageous 3:56.66, while leading three high schoolers to break 4 minutes in the same race at the BU Terrier DMR Challenge. The previous records was 3:57.66, set by Hobbs Kessler in 2021. Powell finished 8th overall in the race that was made up by mainly professional runners. Josiah Tostenson and Tayvon Kitchen completed their indoor miles in 3:57.47 and 3:59.61, respectively. Tostenson joined Powell under Kessler's previous HS Record. Puma's Sam Tanner won the race overall in 3:51.85.
