Cooper Lutkenhaus will race his first Diamond League competition at the Bauhaus-Galan on June 7th in Stockholm.

This morning, it was announced that Cooper Lutkenhaus will make his Wanda Diamond League debut at the Bauhaus-Galan in Stockholm on June 7. The 17-year-old most recently won the World Indoor 800m title and will head into the outdoor circuit eager to back-up that performance.

US Audiences can watch the Stockholm Diamond League meeting LIVE on FloTrack.

Just weeks ago, Lutkenhaus become the youngest world champion in track and field history when he won the 800m World Title. He is undefeated in 2026 after winning the Dr Sander Invitational 800m, The Millrose Games 600m, the Sound Invite 800m, the US Championship 800m and the World Championship title.

He also ran 1:44.03 this past indoor season, making him the sixth fastest man in world history, and the second fastest in US History.

In 2025, Lutkenhaus ran a 1:42.27 U18 World Record to finish second at the USATF Championships. He was only 16-years-old at the time.

He will now head to the Bauhaus-Galan on June 7th to make his Diamond League Debut. He is also expected to race the Prefontaine Classic in early July.

“I’ve watched several races from BAUHAUS-galan online in recent years," said Lutkenhaus in a provided statement. "The names that have competed there have basically been among the greatest of all time. They truly love athletics in Sweden, and I’m looking forward to experiencing it. It’s a dream come true for me."
