Event organizers have announced that Masai Russell has been confirmed for the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 4-5. Russell has clinched her spot in the Wanda Diamond League Standings and currently leads her event group with 32 points.
Russell is undefeated in the 100mH in 2026, and has won eight-straight finals this year. Tobi Amusan has also clinched her berth to the Wanda Diamond League Final with her 28 points in the standings - though she has not yet been confirmed by the Wanda Diamond League. She is expected to compete.

Russell has been on another level this year, and she has already tested Tobi Amusan's standing World Record of 12.12. At the Xiamen Diamond League Meeting this year, Russell ran 12.14 (+0.5) to set a new personal best and come within hundredths of the all-time mark.
She added a 12.20 performance at the Monaco Diamond League Meeting on July 10, and has now run 12.20 or faster on four occasions. She personally holds five of the ten fastest times in World History. Any time she steps on a track, it seems like she has a chance at the World Record.
This year, she has collected four Diamond League wins, raising her total to five Diamond League victories in her career. She has added Shanghai, Xiamen, the Pre Classic and Monaco this year.
