Masai Russell Breaks World 100mH Record!!
Masai Russell delivered one of the most unforgettable performances of the 2026 Diamond League season in Zurich, making history in the women’s 100m hurdles. The Olympic champion powered across the line in 12.09 seconds, breaking Tobi Amusan’s world record of 12.12 that had stood since 2022.
The world record was a massive moment for Russell, but she made it clear that her work is not finished. “We still got a Diamond League trophy to win. I still got to win Ultimates,” Russell said after the race, keeping her focus on the Diamond League Finale and the Ultimate prize still within reach.

Alison Dos Santos DESTROYS 400mH Record
Zurich did not see just one world record broken. It saw two. Alison Dos Santos was another athlete who made history at the 2026 Diamond League meeting, storming to a stunning 45.80 seconds in the men’s 400m hurdles. The Brazilian shattered the previous world record and delivered a performance that immediately became one of the defining moments of the season.

Josh Kerr Mile World Record
Josh Kerr delivered a performance for the history books at the London Diamond League, shattering the men’s mile world record in front of a home crowd. The British star stormed to a stunning 3:42.66, taking down Hicham El Guerrouj’s 3:43.13 record that had stood since 1999. Kerr had spent months preparing for the attempt as part of Project 222, and on race day, he delivered.

Jakob Returns Only To Be Upset By Ethan Strand
Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s return to the Diamond League was one of the biggest storylines of the Silesia meeting. After recovering from Achilles surgery earlier this year, the Norwegian returned to Diamond League action in the 1500m, but Ethan Strand had other plans. The American produced a brilliant late surge to win in 3:30.77, stunning a field that included Ingebrigtsen and Olympic champion Cole Hocker.
Ingebrigtsen finished fourth in 3:31.19, while Strand secured a huge victory over two Olympic champions. The unexpected result added another unforgettable moment to the 2026 Diamond League season and made Strand’s Silesia breakthrough one to remember.

Cierra Jackson Discus Diamond League Record
Cierra Jackson delivered one of the biggest breakout performances of the 2026 Diamond League season in London. The American discus thrower unleashed a massive 71.72 meter throw, improving her personal best by nearly four meters and recording her first throw beyond the 70 meter mark.
