The men's 800m at the 117th Millrose Games on Saturday proved historic -- in more ways than one.

The 2025 Millrose Games did not disappoint, and two Americans are walking away from the night as World Record Holders. In the men's 3,000m, Grant Fisher set a new record of 7:22.91. Then, Yared Nuguse broke the record in the mile, running 3:46.63 to shatter the previous mark.

Yared Nuguse set a new World Record in the indoor mile at the 2025 Millrose Games in 3:46.63, taking this third Wanamaker Mile championship in a row in the prestigious event. Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha (3:47.01 in 2019) had the previous all-time mark.

Josh Hoey set a new American Record in the 800m at the 2025 Millrose Games in 1:43.90. Bryce Hoppel, the reigning World Indoor Champion in the event, finished second with a new Personal Best (1:44.19).
Grant Fisher set a new World Record in the 3,000m at the 2025 Millrose Games in 7:22.91. Defending Olympic 1500m champion Cole Hocker finished second (7:23.14) also beating the previous all-time mark of 7:23.81 set by Lamecha Girma (Ethiopia) in 2023.
Jayden Horton-Mims has been getting better and better over the 300m distance, and he took another step toward history on Saturday at the 2025 Millrose Games.
It has been Lisa Raye's year. That trend continued on Saturday in New York as Raye claimed a Millrose Games win and crushed the U.S. high school girls 60m national record in the process.
The 117th Millrose Games will take place this Saturday at the historic Nike Track & Field Center at the Armory, and it promises to be one for the books! While the entire meet is packed with star power, a few races stand out as must-watch events.
